MBA GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy

GMAT/GRE waivers may be granted to LMU MBA candidates who demonstrate quantitative competency and readiness for our rigorous MBA curriculum. A GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission into the LMU MBA.

To be eligible for a GMAT/GRE waiver, applicants to the LMU MBA program must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an AACSB-accredited business school in the United States with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) from a regionally-accredited university in the United States with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Master’s or doctorate degree from a regionally-accredited university in the United States in any of the disciplines listed above with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) from LMU with a GPA of 3.2 or higher

If you have questions about whether you qualify for a GMAT/GRE waiver, please contact Dustin Cornwell, Senior Director of MBA/MS Programs.

Applicants who are required to submit GMAT or GRE scores should use the following codes:

  • GMAT: MSN-XN-25
  • GRE: 4403

GMAT scores of 550 or higher are generally considered competitive for admission to the MBA program. You may use the GRE score comparison tool to convert GRE scores to a GMAT equivalent.
