LMU MBA students are a diverse group of professionals spanning many countries, industries and businesses. Get to know some of these unique individuals...

Lee Anderson

Lee was born and raised in St. Louis Park, Minn. He attended the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and earned a bachelor's degree in management. He began flight training in Texas in 2005 and became a C-17 pilot. Lee spent the next seven years in Northern California and Washington State, flying missions all over the world while collecting 3,500 flight hours. He left the Air Force in 2014 and decided to change careers and go back to school. Lee serves on the board of the LMU MBA Student Association.



Héctor Blanes-Pomares

Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Héctor recently received a postgraduate certificate in global business management from UCLA. He also has a B.S. and M.S. in aerospace engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Technical University of Munich. Currently, Héctor is a graduate assistant for LMU's World Policy Institute and an intern at Fullscreen Media. He is involved in the MBA Student Association and Toastmasters, and enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures.


Lukas Bradley

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Lukas earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Upon graduation, Lukas began working for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works in the Structural Design Section. In 2011, he earned licensure as a professional civil engineer in the State of California and in Massachusetts. Lukas enjoys videography, video editing and woodworking. He lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife, Danielle.


D. Antione Dixon

D. Antione has a passion for entertainment media and currently works as a video producer and photographer for his company, 03 Productions. He graduated from DePaul University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in digital cinema with a focus on producing. He is a member of Alpha Phi Omega International service fraternity. In his free time, D. Antione enjoys cooking shows, traveling, going to the movies with his wife, writing poetry, photography and reading.



Danny Gelber

Originally from Maryland, Danny is a senior client services manager at MarkMonitor, a global leader in online brand protection. He's worked in technology consulting and sales for over 10 years, including positions with 318 Inc., Everon Technology Services and Sky IT Support. Danny was the first recipient of the Rachelle Katz MBA Scholarship. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science and psychology from Duke University. Danny lives in Santa Monica and recently welcomed a daughter, Stella, with his wife Anne.



Kwang Kim

Kwang is a Korean born in Los Angeles who grew up in Mexico. He is a graduate of Suffolk University in Boston where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. After graduation, he took the opportunity to work in Korea as a school instructor for a year. Kwang then moved to Los Angeles and pursued a career in real estate. He has a particular interest in real estate development and property management and eventually started his own business. His hobbies include traveling, surfing and playing soccer.


Justine Martinez

Justine was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and immigrated to Los Angeles with her family at the age of 11. She attended Santa Monica College and earned an associate’s degree in social and behavioral sciences. After two years, Justine transferred to UCLA and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She currently works as a legal assistant and office manager at Sullivan and Triggs, LLP, a corporate and securities law firm. 


Ruth Morris

Ruth moved from Ireland to California to pursue her MBA studies at LMU. She graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in management science and information systems. She previously served as captain and secretary for Dublin University, a member of the Ladies Boat Club, and assistant coach at Commercial Rowing Club. Ruth has a particular interest in entrepreneurship and international business.


Steven Shadpour

Steven is a San Diego native who works as an industrial engineer for Southern California Gas Company in Downtown Los Angeles. His day-to-day work primarily revolves around utilizing data and analytics to integrate process improvement projects throughout various company departments. Steven graduated from USC in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and tennis, traveling and listening to live music.
