International students applying to LMU Graduate Business Programs must meet the following requirements in addition to the program-specific admission requirements.
Applicants whose native language is not English and have not completed a high school diploma or bachelor's degree at a university in the United States or other country where English is the primary language must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. Exceptions to this rule may be made for students from countries where English is one of several official languages, as well as at the discretion of the program director.
You must score:
- 80 or above on the TOEFL (iBT only).
- 6.0 or above on the IELTS.
Applicants who are required to submit TOEFL/IELTS scores should use school code 4403.
Due to COVID-19, the TOEFL may now be taken online at home.
Applicants who have completed their postsecondary education from an institution outside the U.S. must hold a degree from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education as a degree granting institution. Transcripts from an international institution must be translated and evaluated by a U.S. transcript evaluation service (e.g. Global Services Associates, Educational Credential Evaluators, International Education Research Foundation or World Education Services). The purpose of the evaluation is to verify that your postsecondary degree is the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree.
International students enrolled in STEM-qualified programs may be eligible for additional Optional Practical Training. Our M.S. in Business Analytics is STEM-qualified while our other Graduate Business Programs are not. Visit the LMU Office for International Students and Scholars for further assistance.
