Rachelle Katz Endowed MBA Scholarship Fund
Dr. Katz retired in May 2014 and the MBAAA set out to reach a campaign goal of $100,000 to send Dr. Katz off in style.
We surpassed our goal in June 2014 and have raised over $120,000 to date! Thank you to everyone who contributed! The scholarship is now fully endowed and is a permanent source of financial aid to worthy MBA students every year in perpetuity.
Some of the highlights of Dr. Katz's accomplishments:
- Dr. Katz first joined LMU's College of Business Administration in 1976. She was an inspirational and dedicated academic leader who influenced thousands of MBA students during her career at LMU. For almost four decades, she was a dearly beloved teacher, colleague and mentor to thousands of LMU students, alumni, faculty and staff.
- Dr. Katz spearheaded efforts to transform our MBA program into what it is today - a premier program lauded by the major B-school rankings surveys. Bloomberg Businessweek ranks LMU’s part-time MBA Program #24 in the nation and #6 in the West. In addition, our graduate-level Entrepreneurship program is ranked #10, Marketing is ranked #13 and Accounting is ranked #16 by U.S. News & World Report.
- National rankings are directly tied to the reputation of a university and increase the value of a degree. This milestone is another step in the right direction toward LMU’s goal of offering the most elite graduate business programs in the nation and developing business professionals who can make an immediate impact.
- Just as important as our national reputation is our ability to recruit the finest students to our program. One way we do this is through scholarships.
